Wider Determinants

Understanding connections and pathways

In 2010, the Community Insight System (CIS) was introduced to process views and experiences - about health, mental health and social care services.

Through processing thousands of experiences, it became apparent that aspects of daily life, such as housing & the local environment, finances (cost of living, employment and benefits), independence (mobility and support networks) and many other factors had a direct impact on health and wellbeing - therefore services as well.

That's why our Person-Centred Coding (PCC) handles the wider determinants of wellbeing, alongside health, mental health and social care.

What can this achieve? If you're a member of a Place-Based Partnership or other local forum (or committee) that brings together agencies, services and community organisations, we can process the data - of everybody around the table.

Why is this important? Not only does this aide consistency and drive down costs, our analysis gives an over-arching view of your locality - in terms of views, feelings and experiences.

When coupled with Public Health data and using tools such as PowerBi, you can really 'lift the lid' on the health, wellbeing and thinking of your local population.
